Here’s a quick and easy Grilled Beef Burger with Cheese, Tomato Slices, and Lettuce—perfect for a summer meal!
Ingredients:
1 lb ground beef (80/20 for juicier burgers)
4 burger buns
4 slices of cheese (cheddar, American, or your choice)
1 large tomato, sliced
4 lettuce leaves
Salt and pepper to taste
1 tablespoon olive oil (for greasing the grill)
Optional: condiments (ketchup, mustard, mayo, pickles, etc.)
Instructions:
Preheat the Grill:
Heat your grill to medium-high heat, about 375°F (190°C). Lightly oil the grates with olive oil to prevent sticking.
Form the Burger Patties:
Divide the ground beef into 4 equal portions and gently shape them into patties, about ¾ inch thick. Be sure not to overwork the meat.
Make a small indentation in the center of each patty with your thumb to help the burgers cook evenly and prevent them from puffing up.
Season both sides generously with salt and pepper.
Grill the Burgers:
Place the patties on the preheated grill.
Grill for about 4-5 minutes per side for medium doneness, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C) for well-done.
During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheese on each patty and close the grill lid to melt the cheese.
Toast the Buns:
Lightly toast the burger buns on the grill for 1-2 minutes until golden and crisp.
Assemble the Burgers:
Place a grilled beef patty with melted cheese on the bottom half of each toasted bun.
Add a fresh lettuce leaf and a couple of tomato slices on top of the patty.
Add any additional condiments of your choice, then top with the other half of the bun.
Serve:
Serve immediately with your favorite summer sides like fries, chips, or a salad.
Enjoy your quick and delicious summer burger!
